The Electromechanical Maintenance Cell is the ultimate capstone to any industrial maintenance / mechatronics program. Students learn to assemble, wire, maintain, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems just as if they were in the industrial environment.

In the ZA units (ZA01- ZA07), students work with the Electrical-Mechanical Maintenance Cell (EMMC) to develop the skills and experience needed in a real-life industrial environment. All of these skills will have to be demonstrated to an instructor. The EMMC Instructor's Guide is supplied to the instructor and is divided into two parts. The first part, Getting Started, contains important information such the instructor's safety responsibilities, a bill of materials for the EMMC, a list of required tools that are not included in the EMMC and a brief overview of every ZA unit. The second part of the EMMC Instructor's Guide, the Instructor Resource, contains all of the documents associated with every work order in the seven ZA units.
